The big questions follow the perfect 5W and 1H throughout the book. Only towards the end you get a clearer picture of what happened to answer all the mind boggling questions you've been asking.

Her essays and short stories were very expressive and shares the thoughts and worries of students like her. She knows exactly how too bridge word to word to construct feelings in the reader's mind and heart.

Darwisy succeeded in adapting Malay's belief and traditions especially those that are contrary to teaching of Islam as the central of the book where it blends with the belief that old music percussion has its own spirit. The present and past were well intertwined to produce a smooth flow of plot to be understood between the ancestors time and the present time.

Such a good representation of how woman still clings on her ex and do a whole bucket list to get her ex back. However, with a little twist, the plot empowers woman to be confident and get out of their comfort zone for themselves. Not to mention that, the love of your life might be just in front of you. Extra point for Anna as the main character works in an advertising agency in the creative department.

A book heavy with emotions and history, connecting the story of a girl and a great grandmother through spirit based on Japanese beliefs on spirits. The sadness delivered well throughout the back and forth of present and past in the plot. Rich in folk tales, beliefs and the history of the Japanese especially on the Okinawan war and elite girls from Okinawa school called Himeyuri or Princess Lily who were responsible to assist and nurse injured the soldiers.
